United Earth is a planetary state created through the unification of Earth following first contact with the Vulcans in 2063. With headquarters based in Paris, the United Earth government maintains control over all of the Sol system, though with recent advances at Starfleet and the Warp Five Complex there has been a large push towards expansion of United Earth interests. In contrast to many other species, humans are difficult to assign specific attributes because they are very diverse.

A warp-age Federal Republic is an interstellar union of semi-autonomous states that agree to exist under a single central government and governed by a unified constitution that ensures universal rights, liberty and equality. The Federal government is responsible for all diplomatic interactions with external powers and as well as the coordination and creation of a mutual defensive fleet, although many states still operate their own local law forces, militias and navies.
