All 7 Imperial Factions can build all the below units when meeting all the required criteria. Certain Imperial Armies require particular planets and planet types so they can be built. The Imperial units range from the elite Space Marine Companies to the Conscript Regiments used as cannon fodder. As well as this titan war machines are also buildable capable of destroying entire invasions by themselves. One thing is certain with all Imperial troops they will all fight in the name of the Emperor and die in his service. Whether they die by the enemies hand or by Imperial firing squads is another matter.

After the Horus Hersey to avoid a rebellion of that scale again the Imperial Army was dissolved. in its place it was replaced by the Imperial Guard and the Imperial Navy both completely separate from each other. The Imperial Guard form the bulk of the Imperial ground forces. Numerous Imperial Guard regiments fight in thousands of battles across the galaxy per hour in service to their emperor, However with these standard regiments come the more elite and specialised regiments and forces. Formed from worlds which are inhospitable or warzones they are battle hardened soldiers. From the Cadian Shock Troops to the Catachan Jungle fighters they are more deadlier than there standard counterparts. However the pinnacle of the Imperium's soldiers are the Space Marines. Genetically engineered super soldiers whose one purpose is to kill the enemy in the most badass fashion. Space Marines are one of if not the best warriors in the galaxy. When discussing the Imperium's weapons of war none beat the Titan war machines few in number but able to bring devastating firepower to the battlefield. These gigantic weapons put even the toughest Ork Waaaagh to the test. When you play one of the Imperial factions you can be sure you will have a variety of troops to use.

This regiment is buildable on any planet you own when your are one of the Imperial human factions. These troops will be the early bread and butter or your ground forces

You will need to research gene tech purification to get these chapters. Note only one fortress monastry can be built for each chapter

These are the strongest weapons an imperial ground force can bring to bear. Expensive but worth the cost as they crush the enemy under their giant metal feet. Built by the Adeptus Mechanicum they are revered gods of war used only at the most desperate of times or in the greatest crusades. Note all titans require the titan army technology to build.

Eldar Troops are well trained, experienced and deadly. Able to match most other nations in terms of firepower. As well as this Eldar titans are also as powerful as most imperial ones. However Eldar units tend to be expensive and high in maintenance. However such a professional army will have its costs.

The Eldar are one of the oldest races in the universe and also the most deadliest. Eldar craftworlds are full with well trained Eldar soldiers. They are brutally efficient when killing their enemies. Eldar weaponry is also very advanced giving them another edge on the battle field. However I would pick a good old lasgun any day instead of an Eldar weapon.

The Orks are tough and blood Thirsty on the ground able to attack you with the full power of the horde. Ork infantry Armies tend to be better than other nations average units. Ork titans are poorly made so aren't as powerful as other nations ones. However Ork titans are cheaper so you may be facing more than a couple. The Ork army is truly powerful because of the bonus their race gets. Nearly all the Ork genetics and starting national traits are to do with greater combat efficiency. Making an Ork invasion a nightmare to other races

Orks were developed to be a weapon and that aim was achieved. Ork society is run on a tribal basis with the biggest and strongest Warboss taking charge. Orks live to fight and so are very good at it. When a big enough target is found the Orks will launch a Waaaagh to kill and plunder everything there. Ork invasions are tough to beat are usually very costly to both sides. Orks are without a doubt one of the few races which left unchecked could end your game quickly.

The Tau Army is weak compared to other factions in the game. They wont be able to match the Imperium of Man on the ground in terms of firepower. The Tau get access to both their Own Fire Warriors and Kroot and Vespid Allies. The pinnacle of the Tau ground force is the Broadside Battle suit and the riptide Battle suit. Cheap and effective the Tau can still put up a good fight. Note that Tau units are generally quite cheap.

The Tau Empire are one of the newer races of the galaxy and their ground forces are made up of members from the warrior Fire Caste. By the 41st millennium they became a power in their own right. However the Tau have always lacked s strong melee force meaning Tau armies tend to rip you apart from a distance. The Tau Military is advanced with state of the art battle suits giving entire regiments a run for their money. Plus the Kroot eat you so be careful of that.

Chaos forces on the whole have a strong army. Like the Imperial brethren Chaos also have access to Titans. They have become the twisted versions of the imperial variants. the crew have melded with the machine which is now possessed by a daemon.

The Chaos Army is extremely strong and able to build quickly on their daemon planets. However Chaos soldiers also tend to go insane meaning they are not as disciplined as the Imperial forces. Although the Chaos army is not to be underestimated. After the Horus Hersey the Chaos armies fled into their warp storms. Chaos forces only amass when Abaddon the Despoiler calls a Black Crusade. You can be sure that until judgement is delivered on eye of terror Cadia will forever be a warzone.

My advice would be kill them in space before they can land.

The Tyranid swarm have access to a number of creatures that will make your like a misery. Their basic troops are relatively weak however come in large numbers however they reproduce quickly. Although Tyranid Warriors are able to go toe to toe with even the largest of Imperial Guard Regiments. Tyranids also have access to bio-titans which are more that a match for imperial titans. Even the most experienced players may face a challenge when facing the swarm.
